PUBG may come back to India very soon.

Two months ago when PUBG Mobile was banned along with numerous other Chinese apps, the esports ecosystem and fans were left in limbo. Now India is just days away from the return of one of its most beloved mobile games. According to reliable inside sources within the Indian gaming and esports industry, an advertisement featuring well-known PUBG MOBILE players is being shot. Our sources have also revealed that a Bollywood actor will also be starring in this advertisement as well. PUBG MOBILE is expected to make a big announcement on 12th November 2020, an early Diwali gift.

The game seems to have secured the servers to run in the country. According to a report by Business Wire, KRAFTON Inc. (of which PUBG Corp is a subsidiary) announced yesterday that it is working with Microsoft’s Azure to host PUBG MOBILE, among other products. The KRAFTON Inc. and Microsoft collaboration promises to ensure that privacy rights are respected and relevant software will be in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, which could allow PUBG Corp. to comply with the Indian government’s requirements and distance itself from any Chinese involvement. This development comes after PUBG Corp. cut ties with Tencent in early September and took away the China-based company’s rights to publish the game in India.
